Hot air warmer

Image
Embossing gun is mounted on adjustable stand. It can be positioned anywhere at any angle. It's plugged into a momentary style foot switch that can be activated by foot , or as I prefer, by hand.  The momentary switch means it only runs when needed and when pedal is depressed. Removing foot or weight of my hand cuts it off. I like using my hand and I just rest the wax in hand under the nozzle while depressing the pedal. Moving to the work piece releases the pedal and I'm ready to go. It's pretty natural movement and wastes no time or effort.

Here's a great way to warm wax...

40 watt old style bulb over a small cast iron skillet (5" square) . Board and skillet can be moved vertically to adjust heat. Skillet retains heat to keep wax uniformly and gently heated. Nice ambience as well.

Wax work setup.

Added a 24" x 48" reclaimed wood work surface to lift cart. Mobile but heavy-duty. adjustable height. In center is hot air gun on adjustable post with LED gooseneck and hand/foot pedal control. Functional and looks pretty neat in person.

Revision to hand powered sling caster

Added wheel crank rather than bicycle style bar. Much easier to use and smooth in use. Not that other one was dangerous, but this seems better in that regard too.
